It's Real Money - forwarded email

Vast numbers of networks have been shut down due to the forwarding hoax emails causing traffic to block up. No offense intended - it's in our nature to be optimistic, and wanting to believe what people say comes with that. Falling for 'pranks', 'hoaxes', etc. happens to the best of us.

But there is no way this is going to happen. Neither Microsoft nor AOL (or joint efforts) can track every email on the Internet. Whilst in theory, AOL would be able to track emails sent through their servers (and knowing their privacy practices - or rather, the lack there of - they may well), it is not possible for anyone one company to track every email floating around the Internet. If - and only if - one single body had an undisputed monopoly on mail servers with literally no other competition, then it might be possible. But as email passes through any given number of servers to reach its destination, it's impossible to track it unless it passes through a server operated by the tracker.

I would advise that you simply delete any emails that urge you to forward them on to others. If they are genuine, then they don't need to try and convince you to send them to other people. There are millions of 'chain' letters floating around - both in electronic and physical form - and they are usually started by someone who has little else to do and would like to see how far their hoax can spread. Any message following the line of 'Forward this to all your friends / x amount of people / everyone and something good will happen to you' are almost definately rubbish, and should be ignored. Helping them propagate is just helping the idiot who started it.

And now, onto the logic. Just pretend that part of the email was true, and Microsoft and AOL had teamed up to pay you money just because they have it (and, let's face it, they are known for their generosity and tendancies to throw all their money at people). Microsoft is obviously nothing short of an empire, and the Time/Warner/AOL group follows pretty closely. Being such enourmous and wealthy corporations, don't you think they would have ways of publicizing their events other than sending unsolicited email to random people, promising them that riches will follow if they help 'spread the word'?

The headscarf martyr in Egypt: Woman was stabbed 18 times during hijab trial

The headscarf martyr: murder in German court sparks Egyptian fury•

Woman was stabbed 18 times during hijab trial
• Outrage at lack of media coverage fuels protests

It was while Marwa el-Sherbini was in the dock recalling how the accused had insulted her for wearing the hijab after she asked him to let her son sit on a swing last summer, that the very same man strode across the Dresden courtroom and plunged a knife into her 18 times.

Her three-year-old son Mustafa was forced to watch as his mother slumped to the courtroom floor.

Even her husband Elvi Ali Okaz could do nothing as the 28-year-old Russian stock controller who was being sued for insult and abuse took the life of his pregnant wife. As Okaz ran to save her, he too was brought down, shot by a police officer who mistook him for the attacker. He is now in intensive care in a Dresden hospital.

Kate Connolly on the death of Marwa el-Sherbini Link to this audio While the horrific incident that took place a week ago tomorrow has attracted little publicity in Europe, and in Germany has focused more on issues of court security than the racist motivation behind the attack, 2,000 miles away in her native Egypt, the 32-year-old pharmacist has been named the "headscarf martyr".

She has become a national symbol of persecution for a growing number of demonstrators, who have taken to the streets in protest at the perceived growth in Islamophobia in the west. Sherbini's funeral took place in her native Alexandria on Monday in the presence of thousands of mourners and leading government figures. There are plans to name a street after her.

Sherbini, a former national handball champion, and Okaz, a genetic engineer who was just about to submit his PhD, had reportedly lived in Germany since 2003, and were believed to be planning to return to Egypt at the end of the year. They were expecting a second child in January.

Unemployed Alex W. from Perm in Russia was found guilty last November of insulting and abusing Sherbini, screaming "terrorist" and "Islamist whore" at her, during the Dresden park encounter. He was fined ¤780 but had appealed the verdict, which is why he and Sherbini appeared face to face in court again.

Even though he had made his anti-Muslim sentiments clear, there was no heightened security and questions remain as to why he was allowed to bring a knife into the courtroom.

Angry mourners at the funeral in Alexandria accused Germany of racism, shouting slogans such as "Germans are the enemies of God" and Egypt's head mufti Muhammad Sayyid Tantawy called on the German judiciary to severely punish Alex W.

"Anger is high", said Joseph Mayton, editor of the English-language news website Bikya Masr. "Not since Egypt won the African [football] Cup have Egyptians come together under a common banner."

In Germany the government of Angela Merkel has been sharply criticised for its sluggish response to the country's first murderous anti-Islamic attack. The general secretaries of both the Central Council of Jews and the Central Council of Muslims, Stephen Kramer and Aiman Mazyek, who on Monday made a joint visit to the bedside of Sherbini's husband, spoke of the "inexplicably sparse" reactions from both media and politicians.

They said that although there was no question that the attack was racially motivated, the debate in Germany had concentrated more on the issue of the lack of courtroom security. "I think the facts speak for themselves," Kramer said.

The government's vice spokesman Thomas Steg rebuffed the criticism, saying not enough was yet known about the details of the incident.

"In this concrete case we've held back from making a statement because the circumstances are not sufficiently clear enough to allow a broad political response," he said, adding: "Should it be the case that this was anti-foreigner [and] racially motivated [the government] would condemn it in the strongest possible terms".

As hundreds of Arab and Muslim protesters demonstrated in Germany, and observers drew comparisons with the Danish cartoon row, Egyptian government representatives in Berlin said it was important to keep the incident in perspective.

"It was a criminal incident, and doesn't mean that a popular persecution of Muslims is taking place," Magdi el-Sayed, the spokesman for the Egyptian embassy in Berlin said.

But because it occurred just days after Nicolas Sarkozy gave a major policy speech denouncing the burka, many Egyptians believe the death of Sherbini is part of a broader trend of European intolerance towards Muslims.

The German embassy in Cairo has sought to calm the situation, organizing a visit of condolence by the ambassador to the victim's family and issuing a statement insisting that the attack did not reflect general German sentiment towards Egyptians.

There have been repeated calls by protesters for the German embassy to be picketed. The Egyptian pharmacists' syndicate said it is considering a week-long boycott of German medicines.

The victim's brother, Tarek el-Sherbini, labelled Germany as a "cold" country when interviewed by a popular talk show host. Media pundits such as Abdel Azeem Hamad, editor of the daily al-Shorouk newspaper, have attributed the western media's disinterest in the story to racism, arguing that if Sherbini had been Jewish the incident would have received much greater attention.

Politicians in Egypt have been scrambling to ride the groundswell of popular feeling. But some commentators have criticized reaction to the murder as a convenient distraction for the unpopular regime of President Hosni Mubarak, which is currently being challenged by a nationwide series of strikes and sit-ins.

"The tragedy of Marwa el-Sherbini is real, as is anti-Arab racism in Europe and elsewhere, but ... her death has been recruited to channel resentment of the west, Danish-cartoon style," the popular blogger The Arabist said.

Five Best Ways to Make Money Online

Almost everyone has dreamed at one time or another of quitting the corporate world and still being able to pay the mortgage, put food on the table and take your family out to dinner occasionally. Thanks to the Internet, more and more people are able to accomplish the transition from wage slave to entrepreneur. While income may be lower than you are used to in your cubicle job, it's exciting to think that your expenses may be significantly lower as well. No more commuting costs, you can even be able to get rid of that second car. Just imagine a commuting time measured in seconds instead of hours. However, not every online money-making opportunity is equal. Here are five tried and proven ideas that allow you to make money online.

Sell your services

There are literally hundreds or even thousands of project bidding opportunities that appear on the various freelance web sites every day. The projects range from writing copy to designing web sites, to audio services and project management. The service buyer describes the project he wants completed, the service providers bid on the project and define how much they will charge to complete the project according to specific requirements of quality, style and deadlines. You can make money online from these sites if you can stay focused working alone.

Write for blogs

Sometimes blog posts are handled in the same way as the freelance projects. Buyers ask for bids on a certain number of posts over a period of a specific number of days. Typically, a batch of posts will be sent to the service buyer who remits payment to the service buyer through one of the payments sites such as Paypal. In order to make money online writing for blog postings, you must be self-disciplined, have reasonable research skills and be able to meet deadlines.

MyLot

MyLot is an interesting way to make money online. It's a global community where members get paid for blogging or posting to the forum with opinions, discussions, questions or other news commentaries and editorials. Because the payment vary according to the volume and quality of the posted information, you can earn anywhere from $10 on up.

Advertising revenue

It's easy and fun to make money online when you own a website where the sponsors pay you to list products. You design a website that draws visitors from the global market. Prepare and post good content and the visitors will be led to your site. Because your site is getting dozens of hits each day, revenue from advertisers will soon begin to pay you to place a web advertisement on your site.

Authority website

Building an authority website is another popular method to make money online. With fairly minimal effort you can create a website that becomes an authority on some subject. Then, you can wait for the orders to arrive on behalf of the website visitor, or you can do active recruitment in areas there have not been an online presence.

Timex Nail watch

We might have seen various types of watches, right from weird shapes, sizes and different technologies. Now welcome the watch of the future which looks like it just dropped out from a sci-fi movie. This watch is uniquely designed in such a manner that it can mould as one of your nails.

Yes that’s right! Forget wearing watches on your wrist from now on as this watch snugly fits on your nail. Don’t mistake this watch to be a mere nail art as it not only displays the time but also lights up in the dark, making it easy to read time in the night time. Press the end of your thumbnail, and the watch will light up for you. Timex in collaboration with Core77 brings in this out of the box design idea.

The Timex Nail watch looks stylish and chic, but it has a touch of Geeky style as well. The downside of the watch is it is disposable and in the age of classy watches that show off their exuberance, it may be a hard time for this little one to make its way through the watch market. No doubt that the watch may be intelligently designed but it will not last too long on your finger as it’s disposable. Timex hasn’t spoken a word on its price or availability as yet, so let’s wait and watch for the price of this tiny new nail watch.

Punishment for indecent SMS and emails

ISLAMABAD: The government announced on Sunday that sending indecent, provocative and ill-motivated stories and text messages through e-mails and mobile telephone Short Messaging Service (SMS) was an offence under the Cyber Crime Act (CCA) and its violators could be sent behind bars for 14 years.
An official announcement by the interior ministry said that the government was launching a campaign against circulation of what it called ill-motivated and concocted stories through emails and text messages against civilian leadership and security forces.

The announcement does not elaborate what is meant by ill-motivated e-messages, but it is believed that the ‘civilian leadership’ meant President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, Interior Minister Rehman Malik and other politicians.
A senior official of the ministry said: ‘Sending indecent message is a crime under the Cyber Crime Act and liable to punishment.’

Urdu Book: Peer-e-Kamil ...

(Review From: http://www.ibitians.com/)

Umera Ahmed (born in 10,December 1974 in Sialkot) is an Urdu novelist and screenplay writer who is mostly popular for writing Peer-e-Kamil…

Umera Ahmed first published her stories in monthly Urdu digests such as Khawateen Digest and Shua’h. Her stories are still published in episodic format every month in various digests, and are eventually released as separate novels. Her novels Man-o-Salwa, Lahasil and Amar Bail have been adapted into drama series and aired on Hum TV. She is a teacher at Army Public College in Sialkot. Her most impressive work was Peer-e-Kamil , her work is mostly an initiative to correct the corrupting society.

In this book there is a story of a girl who was from Qadyani firqa and she got the noor-e-hidayat and turned to Muslim but her family didn’t allow her to do this but she did as she was engaged with one of her cousin who was also qadyani so it wasn’t possible her to get marry with him so she takes help of his neighbor named Salar who has +150 I.Q.Level he was very different guy but the both Imama (the girl who turned Muslim from qadyani) and Salar don’t like each other.

Salar was the guy who was in the depth of sins but after some time he got changing in herself and he realized lots of things about Islam, about life about the reality.

Coming to point after salutation, the facts shown in the book were heart & soul shaking. Many among us don’t think about this and coming life but only consider it as to have the luxuries and to relax after working hard for gathering these luxuries. The only right path starts from ALLAH (subhana wat aala) and ends at his beloved last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (salalaho alaihe wasalam). Not as many words in mind to give the compliments.

Urdu eBook: Raja Gidh...

KitabDost.com Review:

Raja Gidh, a phenomenal and classical novel written by Bano Qudsia . This novel not only delineate the long-term effects of “Rizq-e-Haraam” on the lives of human beings ,but helps in revealing some of the main reasons for dissatisfied and catastrophic life.

The characters in Raja Gidh are everyday characters (basically it’s us). The writer compares the ‘human nature’ with ‘Gidh’ (scavenger) and tries to convince the reader that humans are just like Gidhs (even worst then them). If a Gidhs eat meat of only dead animal so are humans, who always like to take advantages of weak /disturb and emotionally dead people. In trying to gain what is beyond his/her destination he often choose the forbidden path which leads him to earn Rizq-e-haraam. The writer comprehensively explains the adverse effects of Rizq-e-haraam on human’s genes mutation process. It could lead to insanity and abnormality which is then genetically transferred to next generations.

The second point which is strongly highlighted though out the novel is the concept of “Ishq–e-Lahasil” (love with no destination) . Love for forbidden desires always leads a person in earning rizq-e-haraam which in turn destroys one’s life and at the end the person is left alone with nothing except his discontented life. In order to convince the reader on this point, characters of Qayyum and Semi Shah are introduced in novel. Qayyum, a middle class member of society falls in loves with Semi Shah, a liberal and beautiful women who had a true love for her other class fellow. Due to some circumstances Semi is unable to marry her beloved and this makes her emotionally upset and weak. During this time of depression and loniless Qayyum takes physical advantage of Semi Shah but as always remains unsuccessful in emotionally molding her love feeling towards him. This was Ishq-e- lahasil of Qayyum. He ran after someone who was never meant for him and his desire lead him towards the wrong path and he kept moving in the wrong direction and at the end was left alone with nothing but regret and dissatisfaction.

This novel strongly reflects on the negatives points of our society today. If only we can understand the concept and adverse effects of Rizq-e- haram and learn to strongly believe in Allah and the fate decided by him , we are likely to prosper as a good Muslim and a perfect member of society. I strongly recommend this novel to all and lot of thanks to Bano Qudsia for such a great contribution to Urdu literature.

Urdu eBook: Talash...

Words about author: Mumtaz Mufti was considered a non-conformist writer having liberal views (From: http://www.ibitians.com/)

“TALASH” (search, to look for), is a book in which the author quest for the definition of a true and simple “Muslim”. He is startled to find out that despite of being born in a Muslim family and raised in a Muslim country, the meaning of his own identity is vague to him. The book convinces reader to discover his inner-self and expresses the liberal views of the author about the so-called Islamic scholars and their preaching to our younger generation. It also highlights the true spirit of Quranic teaching in our daily lives. BUT WAIT, this does not mean that Talash is a book full of lengthy mystic lectures rather it is free from rhetoric and is simple to understand.

The First point the author tries to accentuate is the rapport between Allah and human. He strongly criticizes the Illiterate and so-called Islamic scholars ( molvis or ulmay dein) as they are relentlessly depicting a negative and strict image of Allah-man relationship . They are molding the Islamic laws as per their wishes and benefits, due to which there always exists discrepancies in all Islamic issues. This is one of the most obvious reasons that are stopping our younger generation to develop their interest in understanding the real meaning of this balanced religion. Younger generation have clung to the belief that Allah is very strict and is ready to punish us for our every single misdeed. Where as in reality, this is most reliable and strong relationship then any other. He is with us in all the moments of grief as well as joy, he acts a friend and at same time as a mother, he is always listening to you and no matter what you do he always loves you all time and is always ready to forgive you . Instead of being of scared from him (as molvis tell us) it is better to respect him and in order to create a good relationship with Allah we need to take him with us in every single moment of our life.

4 Inch Alien Found In Lahore, Pakistan – Hoax Or What?

On 25th May a news spread like fire across the Pakistan and it’s media of a 4 Inch human like alive alien found in it’s eastern city of Lahore.

According to the locals, during renovation of a house. Laborers were digging a room when they found a small 4 inch creature resembling humans. The creature was moving and jumping. Children present at the spot stoned the creature after which it got unconscious. Children closed the creature in a empty jar and this news spread like fire in a forest. People from far away and outskirts of the city came to see it.

Later, when the locals emptied the jar and got the creature out it’s skin got burned due to pouring out on hot bricks.

A man present at the occasion said: “The creature was moving like a fish.” When the scene got populated with people, locals buried the creature in a small hole in ground.

City officials not gave any statement about the issue and the news died of the media later on. It should be mentioned here that in April there was a rumor of UFO sighting in Lahore as well. Which was also not taken up by authorities to comment and the rumor died later on. Some people are quoting that this creature might have fallen down from that UFO.

Following is the video covered by local news channel about the Alien incident:

The creature shown in the video looks fake because after the incident no one even bothered to do any post mortem or check ups on it. It might be a plastic toy which can be found in the markets. Check out these two pictures, it looks clear that it was actually a toy. And a hoax played by the public which made everyone fool.

a11 4 Inch Alien Found In Lahore, Pakistan Hoax Or What?

a2 4 Inch Alien Found In Lahore, Pakistan Hoax Or What?

But over all the whole incident looks too fake to believe. We might not be sure whether it was real or fake but according to available facts it looks quite fake. Let’s wait and see what future brings to us.

Whats your verdict? Do you guys think it was a hoax or not?
